The U. S. Air Force Thunderbirds Soar Over Cleveland
The U. S. Air Force Thunderbirds Soar Over Cleveland
A Thrilling Display of Precision and Power in 2023
The Thunderbirds, officially known as the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, have a rich history dating back to 1953. Created to showcase the might and capabilities of the United States Air Force, they have since become an iconic symbol of American air power. They perform their aerial magic in sleek F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, renowned for their agility and speed. These highly maneuverable jets are painted in a striking red, white, and blue livery, symbolizing the pride and patriotism of the American military.
One of the Thunderbirds' signature maneuvers is the Diamond Formation, where four aircraft fly in close proximity, wingtip to wingtip, at speeds exceeding 400 miles per hour. The precision and coordination required for this formation is nothing short of astonishing.
Complementing their group formations are two solo pilots who execute jaw-dropping aerial acrobatics. These fearless aviators perform gravity-defying rolls, climbs, and dives, showcasing not only their skill but also the incredible capabilities of the F-16.
While the pilots are the stars of the show, the Thunderbirds are a true team effort. Behind the scenes, an army of dedicated support personnel, including mechanics, public affairs officers, and many others, ensures that every performance goes off without a hitch.
Stunning Aerial Maneuvers:
High-Speed Pass: The Thunderbirds kicked off their show with a thunderous high-speed pass, all six aircraft hurtling past the crowd at an exhilarating speed. The roar of their engines was enough to make anyone's heart race.
Opposing Pass: In a daring head-on maneuver, two Thunderbirds aircraft approached each other at breakneck speeds, only to narrowly miss each other before making a breathtaking escape in opposite directions, leaving the crowd gasping.
Looping the Loop: The solo pilots executed gravity-defying loops, defying the laws of physics as they soared into the sky and tumbled back down. These maneuvers showcased the exceptional aerodynamics of the F-16.
Diamond Formation Roll: The signature Diamond Formation was a visual masterpiece. Four aircraft flew in perfect harmony, with wingtips just feet apart, executing flawless rolls that seemed almost impossible given the proximity.
Delta Formation: The Thunderbirds' signature Delta Formation involved five aircraft flying as one, with the lead aircraft at the forefront and the other four forming a V-shape behind it. The tight synchronization was a testament to the team's extraordinary teamwork.
Thunderbird Roll: The grand finale saw all six Thunderbirds aircraft performing a synchronized roll, leaving behind colorful smoke trails that painted the sky. It was a jaw-dropping conclusion to an already spectacular show.
In conclusion, the United States Air Force Thunderbirds' performance at the 2023 Cleveland Air Show was a mesmerizing display of precision, power, and teamwork. Their extraordinary maneuvers left spectators in awe and reminded everyone of the incredible capabilities of the U.S. Air Force. As we eagerly await their return in 2025, one thing is certain: the Thunderbirds will continue to amaze and inspire, showcasing the true spirit of American aviation prowess.

Northeast Ohio's Grand Vista
Tinkers Creek Gorge Overlook is one of the most spectacular views in Northeast Ohio. The overlook is located off Gorge Parkway in the Cleveland Metroparks Bedford Reservation. Listed in 1967 as a Natural National Landmark, this area is also part of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Gorge Overlook is a view that is lucky to exist. In the 1960’s there were local lawmakers who wanted to dam up the Tinkers Creek Gorge, turning it into a deep 150-acre recreational lake. The proposed idea gained a lot of support, but luckily did not pass and the gorge remained untouched.
My predawn arrival at the overlook on a warm October morning revealed a breathtaking view as the sun peeked over the edge of the treetops. You can visit this attraction any time of year, but the view is especially spectacular in the autumn, when vibrant fall colors blanket the valley in a sea of orange, reds, browns and yellows.

Prayers For Maria
One of the things on my bucket list has been has been to photograph a sunflower field. I finally made it out to the Prayers For Maria Sunflower Field in Avon, Ohio this past September. What an incredible place with nearly a mile long field of sunflowers. It was an awesome feeling just being there and watching the many people that came to visit.
I have added a new gallery at www.dalekincaid.com dedicated to the PRAYERS FOR MARIA CHILDREN’S GLIOMA CANCER FOUNDATION. Prayers from Maria is dedicated to funding global research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for the deadliest childhood brain tumors known as gliomas; raising public awareness about gliomas and bringing hope to children and their families who deal with the hardships of this disease. Visit the web site at prayersfrommaria.org —- A mile long field of sunflowers is planted each year along a stretch of I-90 in Avon, Ohio in memory of Maria who died at age 7 from a terminal brain tumor. Two million seeds of hope were planted in 2015. What a spectacular sight to see and to experience such a feeling of hope and spirit.

Artwork Sold by Dale Kincaid
Since there are no demographics available for marketing my fine art work, I turned to Geo-Analytics with hopes this would give me some insight to finding new clients. The map you see below indicates the locations where artwork was purchased. I used Google Maps to chart each sale. Clicking on a pin or artwork titles in the left window opens a context menu providing the location and type of print as well as a direct link to the picture the was purchased from dalekincaid.com. Colored pins represent popular sales, such as the blue pins for the Cleveland Skyline favorite. The orange pins are the Walking With Grandma print. The green pins are a combination of all my Birds Of Prey artwork. And the red pins are everything else.
